We recently completed the renovation at Castletown Community Centre, home to Wetheriggs United Football Club. As proud supporters of the Club, we’re honoured to have contributed to creating a refreshed and functional space that serves both the WUFC team and the wider community.
Led by Barry Turner, Chairman of Wetheriggs United and Executive Director at Atkinsons, the renovation was made possible with funding support from the Football Foundation, Westmorland and Furness Council, Penrith Town Council, and Penrith Lottery. The upgrades include:
- Installation of a new window to enhance natural light
- Comprehensive electrical work
- Reduction of ceiling height with the addition of acoustic panels
- New furniture for improved comfort
- Replastering and insulation of internal walls
Beyond serving as a post-match hub for the football team, the revamped space is ideal for hosting functions, meetings, and other community events.
